How it works: notes are computed from standard tuning (E A D G B E) plus the fret you tap, then matched against common chord templates (major, minor, 5, 6, maj7, 7, m7, sus2, sus4, add9, dim, aug and more). If the bass note is not the root you will see a slash chord (like G/B). If nothing matches we say so honestly and just list your notes. Shapes beyond fret 5 and exotic voicings are a future expansion - this finder covers the beginner shapes in our chord library.
