Our verdict
Guitar Tricks for a focused guitar curriculum; JamPlay + TrueFire for breadth, bass, and the cheaper annual deal.
Monthly prices are nearly identical ($29.95 vs $29.00), both trial 14 days, but JamPlay annual works out to $8.25/mo billed annually vs Guitar Tricks at $179/yr, and JamPlay now bundles the TrueFire library (70,000+ lessons, guitar and bass, 20+ genres). Guitar Tricks answers with a tighter guitar-only structure and the stronger 60-day guarantee (JamPlay stated refund window varies by page: 14-30 days). Editorial recommendation based on price/features only - not hands-on testing.
